ATLANTA (April 4, 2024) – The Atlanta Open announced today that former champions John Isner, Andy Roddick, and Mike and Bob Bryan will play in the Champions Challenge on Monday, July 22 at 7 p.m. EDT on Stadium Court. The 2024 Atlanta Open will be held July 22-28.

Isner, Roddick, and the Bryan brothers will return to play at Atlantic Station for one final time before the tournament is retired by the ATP. The former champions will compete in doubles to claim bragging rights as the ultimate champions of the Atlanta Open.

“The Atlanta Open is thrilled to welcome back these legendary champions for another match under the lights on Stadium Court at Atlantic Station,” Tournament Director Peter Lebedevs said. “As we celebrate 15 years in Atlanta, it’s important to showcase the incredible tennis history of this tournament and this city. John Isner, Andy Roddick, Bob Bryan, and Mike Bryan are American tennis icons and we can’t wait to see them back on the court celebrating the great tennis fans of Atlanta.”

Former world No. 1 Roddick earned one of his 32 career ATP Tour titles at the 2012 Atlanta Open. Roddick reached four Grand Slam finals, including winning the 2003 US Open. Primarily a singles player, Roddick won four doubles titles during his career and was a member of the 2007 Davis Cup-winning team with the Bryan brothers.

Six-time Atlanta Open champion (2013-15, 2017-18, 2021) Isner is the winningest player in tournament history; in addition to Isner’s six wins, he also has three additional Atlanta Open finals appearances (2010-11, 2016). The former top-ranked American (world No. 8), and former Georgia Bulldog, is the ATP Tour career leader in aces (14,470). Isner won eight doubles titles in his career and was ranked as high as No. 14 in the world in doubles.

Roddick and Isner played head-to-head six times in their career, including the 2012 Atlanta Open semifinal. Roddick won 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-4 en route to winning the title.

Twin brothers Mike and Bob Bryan are the most successful doubles duo in the history of the sport. The pair played 22 years, winning an Open Era record 119 titles, including 16 Grand Slam championships (Australian Open - 6; Roland Garros - 2; Wimbledon - 3; U.S. Open - 5). The Bryan Brothers spent 139 consecutive weeks ranked No. 1 in the world from Feb. 2013 to Oct. 2015, and during that time they captured the “Bryan Golden Slam” by winning the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games, then winning the next four majors (2012 US Open, 2013 Australian Open, 2013 Roland Garros, 2013 Wimbledon).
