Are all ticket sales final?

All SALES ARE FINAL. All events, prices, personalities, performances, venues, dates and times are subject to change without notice. This ticket will not be replaced, refunded or exchanged for any reason whatsoever. The following policy applies to individual session tickets purchased directly (and not via ticket auction, exchange, resale or other secondary ticket outlet) through AtlantaOpenTennis.com or in person at the tournament box office. Please note that this policy does not apply to any weeklong duration packages or suites. Nor does it include any tickets issued on a complimentary or trade basis. If the tournament or a session(s) is postponed or cancelled due to weather or other causes beyond our control, tournament management will make every effort to reasonably accommodate the individual session ticket holder on a subsequent session, if held. Atlanta Open cannot guarantee ticket availability, exchange of equal value or comparable seat location. All ticket exchanges are final, and there will be NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS. In addition, patrons are advised that the Atlanta Open schedule of play is subject to change for all sessions. Tickets are not eligible for refund or exchange due to one or more changes in the Atlanta Open schedule of play. Rain delays could last 10 minutes or a couple hours. Once it stops raining, it could take 30-45 minutes for the courts to be dried depending on the amount of rain received. Pay attention to local weather forecasts and radar to track any inclement weather that may develop. Announcements and rain-delay updates will be made in the Stadium Court and on our video boards located throughout the site, as well as on our website.

PLAYERS / DRAWS / MATCH SCHEDULING

How is the draw made?

The draw is made the same way at every tournament. First, the seeds (the highest-ranked players in the draw) are placed in the draw (No. 1 on the first line, No. 2 on the last line and then the others in alternating order on pre-determined lines). Once the seeds are in place, the other players are drawn at random and placed on the empty lines -- starting at the top and going down the draw until it is filled.

How is the schedule made?

The daily schedule is made with input from the ATP World Tour, the players, television and the tournament. The daily schedule is also called the Order of Play.

When is the schedule made?

During each tournament, the schedule is made daily and usually is available around 8 p.m. It is then posted on this web site and is made immediately available to the Tournament Office, the media, etc.

Can you tell me now when a particular player will play?

No. In a single elimination tournament, only one player advances. Since no one knows who will win or lose, no one knows who will play when.

On how many courts are matches played?

Matches are played on two courts: Stadium Court and the Grandstand Court. Players can also be viewed on at least four practice courts. Practice courts are located at Georgia Tech University and are open to the public.
