JOHN ISNER

John Isner is a five-time Truist Atlanta Open champion with a career high no. 8 singles ranking. He won the Masters 1000 crown at the 2018 Miami Open, reached the semifinals appearance at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships, along with reaching the quarterfinals at the US Open in 2011 and 2018. Known as one of the best servers ever to play on the ATP Tour, he currently has the second-most aces in the history of the ATP Tour, having served over 12,000 aces.

 

NICK KYRGIOS

Kyrgios returns to Atlanta, where he won the singles title in 2016. He owns five additional ATP singles titles and holds wins over each of the “Big 3”- Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The former World No. 1 junior broke into Top 50 at age 19 in 2015 and ended 2016 at career-high No. 13.

 

MILOS RAONIC

The 6'5” big-serving Raonic is one of the most successful Canadian singles male players in history. His career-high No. 3 ranking is the highest ever ranking for a Canadian man in any era. He is the first Canadian male in the Open Era to reach the Australian Open semifinals, the French Open quarterfinals, and the Wimbledon final. Raonic is currently ranked No. 22 and will be the No. 2 seed in Atlanta. He earned the biggest win of his career defeating then No. 2 Roger Federer at 2014 Paris Indoors en route to his second of four ATP Masters 1000 finals.

 

TAYLOR FRITZ

Taylor Fritz, a native of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., is currently the highest ranked American by the ATP at No. 31. He was a singles finalist in 2019, losing in two close sets to Alex de Minaur. So far in 2021, the 6'4” righty has reached the semifinals in events at Doha and Cagliari. He reached a career high ranking of No. 24 in 2020.

 

REILLY OPELKA

The big serving Opelka has been a fixture in the ATP top-50 since mid 2019. He returns to the site of his first ATP semifinal with two career singles titles and an opportunity to rise up the rankings. Opelka just reached his first ATP 1000 semifinal last week in Rome. The Delray Beach, Fla. resident plays his best tennis on hardcourts and being 6'11” helps his serve and return in the summer heat. Opelka has said on numerous occasions that the summer conditions in Atlanta suit his game.

 

JANNIK SINNER

Adding youth and star power to the 2021 draw is Italian Jannick Sinner. The No. 23 ranked Sinner is widely regarded as a future tennis superstar. At just 19, Sinner has won two ATP titles and has been ranked as high as No. 17.

 

KIM CLIJSTERS

Kim Clijsters, a native of Belgium, holds three US Open titles and also won the Australian Open in 2011. She holds 41 international titles and has been ranked No. 1 in the world, is excited to get her US hardcourt summer started and make some new fans.

 

SLOANE STEPHENS

Sloane Stephens won the US Open title in 2017 and has reached the finals of the French Open, the WTA Tour finals, and has been ranked as high as No. 3.
