1. New Venue at Atlantic Station



We are proud to be back at Atlantic Station with a new multi-year agreement. See it to believe it! Located just 20 feet from the entrance used the past two years, the new expanded footprint offers more space, additional shade and air conditioning, and a fan-friendly layout that focuses on comfort and maximum enjoyment when it comes to the Atlanta tennis experience.

2. Isner Goes for 6th Atlanta Title




It's no wonder John Isner loves Atlanta. He is 31-4 at this event and in 2018, the big serving Georgia Bulldog became the fourth American to win the same tournament at least five times. Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors have also achieved the feat. The 2018 tournament championship was the 14th of Isner's pro career and he'll be looking for his sixth Atlanta singles title come July. Get your ticket and witness history. Great news as BB&T is back and will remain as our title partner with a multi-year agreement. 4. Bryan Bros. 118 and Counting




It's no secret Atlantans love their doubles. The love playing doubles and enjoy watching it as ATP World Tour doubles has always been well supported in Atlanta. The most decorated doubles team of all-time, Bob and Mike Bryan, return to Atlanta seeking yet another title to add to their resume. Come out and watch these Americans play their exciting brand of doubles and no doubt there will be some chest bumps thrown in for good measure. Could Atlanta be title No. 119? BOB AND MIKE ARE UNDEFATED IN ATLANTA TOGETHER! 


5. Roddick Returns




Don’t miss a chance to see a former ATP World Tour No. 1 and an Atlanta favorite, Andy Roddick, this summer at Atlantic Station. The BB&T Atlanta Open presented by First Data welcomes back former champion, Roddick, for a special Monday night match on July 22. Roddick will face a former rival in Atlanta’s own, Robby Ginepri. Roddick won his first ATP World Tour title in Atlanta in 2001, and then his last singles ATP title at Atlantic Station in 2012. He also claimed the 2003 US Open singles title. This is a chance to show some love to a great champion and see an American tennis legend. 


6. The Future of American Tennis



The American stars of tomorrow have all started their climb up the world rankings in Atlanta. Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz and Reilly Opelka, who earned his first ATP World Title earlier this year, all got their start at the BB&T Atlanta Open. These three are having career years in 2019! The future on display!


7. Venus vs. Madison




Save the date: July 21. Venus had so much fun in 2017, that she's back for more in 2019 and Madison Keys is joining her for our Sunday Showdown. Get your tickets early as this match is always a sellout. Venus is a 10-time singles major champion and owns four Olympic Gold Medals. Keys is a 24 year old from Rock Island, Ill, that has reached a career high of No. 7 in the WTA rankings. She is the 2017 US Open singles finalist and is currently ranked in the top-20. 8. College Night



The BB&T Atlanta Open presented by First Data is the first ATP World Tour event to have a special college night. Taking place on Tuesday night of tournament week, each year a college tennis standout from a state university is granted a wildcard into the singles main draw. This year, it's Georgia Tech's Cole Gromley. It's a David vs. Goliath matchup as Cole takes on an ATP World Tour professional under the lights on Stadium Court. Since this is the South, all of the traditions and pageantry that go along with college sports are on display. Think pep bands, cheerleaders and a special coin toss. For 2019, we have some local college students participating in a Waffle Eating Contest, courtesy of Waffle House. A BIG NIGHT! 


9. The Coolest Tennis Tournament




Sure the month of July is hot in Atlanta, but the BB&T Atlanta Open presented by First Data makes fans "think cool" with strategically placed shade, a number of air conditioned areas and grounds that are easy to navigate. Our exclusive CIGNA Stadium Club will the place to watch all the action. The Club will have a unique vantage point and Club patrons will be able to catch action on both the Stadium and Grandstand courts, with air conditioning and beverages offered for club members.
